We are thrilled to bring this popular platform back to the market. This platform is now available through our preferred distributor through R&D Systems by Bio-Techne brand.

An accessible entry point to multiplexing

Based on Luminex’s unique xMAP® Technology, which allows users to multiplex large numbers of nucleic acid or protein analytes in a single run, the MAGPIX System is designed as an entry-level instrument for scientists transitioning from singleplex immunoassays such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs). The imaging-based MAGPIX instrument enables users to measure up to 50 analytes simultaneously, generating as many as 4,800 data points in about an hour. As a result, the system significantly accelerates experimental workflows and data-driven discovery.

With its robust performance, the MAGPIX System delivers fast, accurate, and reproducible results, supporting diverse applications across a broad range of disease and research areas as well as laboratories of all sizes. Between its accessibility and scalability, the MAGPIX System is well-suited for both custom and commercially available assays.

Expanding access to xMAP® Technology

Will Geist, President of Bio-Techne’s Protein Sciences Segment, told us, “As a longstanding Partner of the Luminex Licensed Technologies Group, having access to the MAGPIX instrument allows us to better meet the day-to-day needs of researchers. The MAGPIX System pairs seamlessly with our comprehensive RUO assay portfolio, giving laboratories of any size a flexible, reliable multiplexing solution that simplifies workflows, maximizes data output, and supports high-quality results across a wide range of research applications.”

Luminex President Angelo Rago commented, “Luminex remains firmly focused on accelerating global adoption of its advanced multiplexing technologies to benefit scientists around the world. Bio-Techne’s extensive global commercial infrastructure and strong reputation for quality will significantly broaden our market reach, enabling us to expand access to a larger customer base and drive sustained commercial growth and long-term value creation for customers and Partners.”
