Fabrizio Bonelli

CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER

Fabrizio Bonelli is Chief Scientific Officer of Diasorin, a role he has held since 2019. He holds a degree in Biology with a specialization in Genetics from the University of Pavia and completed a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
He began his career in 1986 at Menarini Ricerche Sud and then joined Sorin Biomedica in 1987 as R&D Manager. In 1996, he joined Diasorin, where he held positions of increasing responsibility: R&D Director, Chief Technology Officer in Italy, then in the United States, and finally Chief Scientific Officer.
Over the years, he has led international teams in the development of innovative diagnostic technologies and has authored numerous scientific publications and patents in the fields of infectious diseases, autoimmunity, oncology, and cardiovascular health—including recent contributions in COVID-19 research.
