Diasorin’s commitment

The development of the communities in which the Group operates, as well as the training of people and the development of individual skills in the various geographical areas where it does business, can contribute to the creation and maintenance of an environment conducive to business and innovation. For Diasorin, supporting local communities is therefore an investment in the long-term sustainability of its business.

Actions taken

The Group requires highly qualified and specialized labor for all types of work. This results in a low risk of exploitation and violation of human rights, together with the need to put in place all the actions required to retain employees in the Company, considering their training, experience and know-how.
Also with reference to the supply chain, the Group mainly purchases from consolidated multinationals, mostly located in countries that do not present a high risk in this respect.
However, this topic is very important for Diasorin, especially in the management of relations with its employees and collaborators and in the management of relations with the supply chain in compliance with the principles and values referred to in the Code of Ethics. The Group is committed to respecting fundamental human rights as defined in the Conventions of the International Labor Organization in all the countries in which it operates.

Diasorin also operates within the framework of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the fundamental Conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the Confindustria (General Confederation of Italian Industry) Guidelines, as well as the ethical principles, agreements and guidelines laid down by trade associations in the field of the protection of labor rights,
freedom of trade unions, repudiation of all kinds of discrimination, forced labor and child labor. The principles of the Group’s Code of Ethics also include “Equality and impartiality,” which is embodied in the document in specific standards of conduct required of the Recipients of the Code.
Finally, in compliance with the provisions of English legislation (section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015), through its UK branch Diasorin S.p.A, and Diasorin Limited on a voluntary basis, in 2020 we issued the “2019 Modern Slavery Statement”, which sets out how companies fight all forms of modern slavery in-house and within their Supply Chain, and formalizes the commitment to applying the principle of “zero tolerance” on these issues.
