The LIAISON® Anemia panel is a fully automated quantitative solution to support clinicians in the detection of Ferritin, Vitamin B 12 and Folate.
LIAISON® Ferritin
A quantitative assay for determination of Ferritin. The assay can be used as an aid in the diagnosis of patients with anemia.
LIAISON® Vitamin B 12
A quantitative assay for determination of Vitamin B 12. The assay can be used as an aid in the diagnosis and treatment of anemia.
LIAISON® Folate
A quantitative assay for the for determination of folic acid. The assay can be used as an aid in the diagnosis and treatment of anemia.

Anemia is a disease characterized by an inadequate number of red blood cells and an insufficient level of hemoglobin, which prevents us from adequately supplying the oxygen tissues they need. There are several types of anemia, including iron deficiency anemia, linked to low ferritin values, and vitamin deficiency anemia, linked to vitamin B12 and folate deficiency. Anemia is estimated to affect 25% of the world's population, mainly in Southeast Asia, with a high prevalence in pre-school age children and women, especially if pregnant. Malnutrition and disorders in gastrointestinal absorption are among the main causes of this disease.
