Rita Maffei is Corporate Vice President of Quality, Regulatory & Clinical Affairs at Diasorin, where she defines and oversees the Group’s global strategy in quality and regulatory affairs. She ensures compliance with international standards across all corporate functions and manufacturing sites, including Luminex, coordinating audits, regulatory inspections, and due diligence activities.

She also leads international teams supporting the launch of new products and the implementation of new systems. With over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics sectors, she has held leadership roles in quality, compliance, and operations at companies such as Novartis and Merck Serono.

Her expertise includes quality systems management, regulatory affairs, continuous improvement, and transformation projects, with a strong focus on cross-functional collaboration and people development.

She holds a degree in Biological Sciences and a postgraduate specialization in Microbiology and Virology.
